Happy Friday 6/16/23
Happy Friday! How are you? School’s out for summer around here, and we’re all excited! We’ve got a big family bucket list going including camping, swimming in a mountain lake, and visiting an island. But to be honest, I’m most excited for a slow summer at home. Reading during the day. Naps. Making raspberry jam. Cousins coming to visit. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be this time of year than right here…

A reader recently introduced me to the work of Amanda Pays and Corbin Bernsen (they’re the couple that renovated Maplewood house in NY state that I shared last week) and I’m head over heels! They’re hands-on and budget-conscious and have renovated for decades with kids in tow. Here is more about their French farmhouse project and some of their design/renovation principles.

Somehow the audio copy of this fabulous book was available from our library this week and I devoured it! It’s so good I bought a copy for Garrett for Father’s Day. Highly recommend! (amazon, indiebound)
