Happy Friday 1/31/25

Happy Friday! Any exciting weekend plans? I’m planning to go through my closet to (hopefully) drastically downsize it in preparation for moving to Poplar. I’ve been dreaming of this day for a long time and I’m excited to finally have the inspiration to do it :) Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Here are some links from the week…

Leaving London for the Sussex countryside, a couple transforms an unremarkable Victorian cottage into a characterful family home. I love the kitchen (shown above), that bed nook, and the cozy garden office!

A nutritionist’s favorite high-protein meals on a budget. Tell me I’m not the only one always trying to cut our food budget (but still eat well)?! Number 16 has me intrigued!

Pop quiz: do you decorate like a Boomer, Gen Xer, Millennial, or Gen Zer? I got Millennial!

This cabinet color stopped me dead in my tracks this week. It’s just perfect!

How to appreciate winter. I’m really trying to lean into winter this year (don’t want to dread 1/4 of my life!) and took so many notes from this article, like:“If you believe that winter’s going to suck, well…it’s probably going to” and “make winter a vibe”.

This new bbc Jane Austin series looks good!

Candles and diffusers are my jam this time to year (see article above ;) and I’m currently enjoying this home scent. The multipurpose cleaner in the same scent is so good, too!

Any plans for Valentines Day? The kids and I have been patiently waiting to bake these oh-so-delicious conversation heart cookies again and I’m thinking a Valentine-ey family movie is in order (The Princess Bride? Parent Trap? Wall-E?).

Finished this read this week (the audio version is excellent!) and immediately sent it to my sister. It’s quirky and thoughtful and just so so good! I’m entranced by Jandy Nelson’s writing!

Have a good one!
