Happy Friday 4/30/21

Happy Friday! How was your week? We had a good one around here. Gardening. Baking. Renovating. Playing.. The usual. Plus vaccines (!!!). Plus we adopted a dog! Meet Silvi…

Silvi is a 10-month-old poodle that came to us by way of Garrett’s family. She’s playful and smart and great with the kids, and I’m 100% obsessed with her. Seriously, this dog is my sidekick and a pure joy…when she’s not rolling in chicken poop. Ha! (We have a little training to do on that front.) But really, she is sure loved around here.

Here are some fun links from the week…

Ted Lasso season 2 is coming this July and here’s the trailer. Can’t wait! (YouTube)

A young American couple’s fresh, comfortable Notting Hill townhouse. Something about this house feels so livable. (houseandgarden)

Welcome to the YOLO economy. I’m like heck yes! …but then like ahhhh health care! (nytimes)

Garrett made the coolest metal hooks to hang our string lights in the garden and they’re surprisingly easy to make. He shared a DIY tutorial for ya here.

I ordered the cutest jumpsuit for summer! Okay, so jumpsuits and me don’t always get along, but I have high hopes for this one. (everlane affiliate)

Later-in-life accomplishments. Forget the 30-under-30 lists, I love hearing about people over 50, 60, 70 making it happen! (cupofjo)

Call me curious, but I had to see how Miley Cyrus would want her house decorated. (architecturaldigest)

The housing market, though! Garrett sent me these two tweets this week and I had to pass them on…

Julia Child’s home kitchen is such a good mix of color, maximalism, and function. (bonappetit)

For this week’s book recommendation, I give you 13 of my favorite recent reads.

Have a great weekend!
